What Were They Thinking.....

Our Grass Needed Mowing?

My husband left home around 7:30 this morning for work, a couple of hours later I see him pull into the driveway. I thought to myself is he sick or did he forget something, I had no clue. Until he walked into the house and I approached him and ask is every thing okay. He didn't respond. I thought, he doesn't look sick, guess he's not sick! Why is he home before 9:00 pm? I still wasn't sure why the man that works so many hours every day was home early. After going into our room and changing clothes, he spoke...

"I've been suspended for the day".... My reaction was, "What, Why, How? He said he was defending a customers wishes and a superior of his wasn't to keen on the method that was approached. I'm saying at this point, "Do What?" He is saying it will be okay... Then I proceed to ask him, knowing that he is scheduled off work tomorrow, "So, you are now off work till Wednesday?" "Come on, who are they really punishing?" Ummmm.... I think maybe me! He is getting two days off with pay, poor baby. I'm used to being home alone all day with the zoo animals and now I guessing he's going to be home in a bad mood for a couple of days! OUCH!

The next words out of his mouth almost dropped me to the floor... "Just pretend I'm not here and do what you normally do." How in the world do you pretend that a 180 pound, 6 foot man sitting on the couch next to you is NOT HERE! I know, you send him out to mow the yard, give him plenty of fluids and tell him to relax, its your day off! I Love You Baby, and I'm really glad you are home. We can watch Monday Night Football together, the Dallas Cowboys are playing tonight! Go Dallas!!!!!!!!

My dear brother-in-law, if you get too bored can you come over and change my roof-top light bulbs? The roof is actually clean for a change =)
