It goes something like this:
Santa: Honey I'm home!
Mrs. Claus: How was your day?
Santa: Well, where do I began, It started off a pretty good day. I was all thumbs up and raring to go. I saw quite a few little boys and girls today, I met this one little boy that I have to tell you about...

Mrs. Claus: Oh, Santa tell me about him.
Santa: I was just sitting on my chair when this little boy and his step-mom walked by, the little boy pointed at me and said, "Look it's Santa Claus". So, I waved them over so I could talk to him. He slowly walk over to me, kind of in a way that made me think he was a little unsure, so I reached over and picked up a candy cane to offer it to him and he told me he didn't like candy canes because they are too hot.
Mrs Claus: Hmmm, go on
Santa: I asked him if he wanted to sit on my lap and tell me what he wanted for Christmas and his response to me was, "No! I don't wanna to sit on your lap". Therefore; I proceeded to ask him what he wanted for Christmas... He just kinda stood there looking away from me and didn't respond. So, I asked him again, thinking that he might not have heard me, in a very stern voice without even looking at me he said, (indicating, Don't Rush Me) I'm Thinking!"
Mrs Claus: What happened next Santa?

Santa: I waited and waited and he finally turned away from me and looked at his Mama Gina and asked her "What was dat thing I was talking to you 'bout last time?" She looked at him and said, " I'm not sure Ethan, were we talking about a toy you wanted?" Then the little guy looked at me and said "I don't want to talk anymore" and started to walk away.
Mrs. Claus: What did you do?
Santa: I told him I knew he had been a good boy this year and to have a Very Merry Christmas. When he got to his step-mom I heard him say, "I wasn't afraid of Santa and I think I'm gonna get PRESENTS!!!!
Mrs. Claus: Awww, that's nice honey. Well, let me tell you about my day! I have had problems with those Elves of yours, first of all, they complained about the hours, it seems that they may strike (looks over at Santa) (starts to yell) Wake up old man! You never listen to me, I work hard around here too! I'll have you know, you couldn't do your job if it wasn't for me.... Now, sit up and listen!

Santa: Yes, dear!

That was a great story. I wish Ethan would have talked more to Santa. I know he'll get alot of gifts though. Thanks for telling the story.
That's so classic! It reminds me of the movie "A Christmas Story". Ethan told me this morning he told Santa to get him MOON SAND. Oh boy, I thought. Something messy! LOL!!
I told him we might write a letter to Santa today.
