Lucy & Ethel At It Again...

We were busy on March 1st with yet another project for John's "aka Ricky's" work... The project was given to us handwritten on a dry eraser board created to indicate which buses were in service and which needed service.

As you can tell by the picture below, it was not a pretty sight. Lucy and I worked very hard for many hours to make the board more reader friendly... and I might add we received a great big "Thank You" when the project was completed.

While we were busy painting these doors our guys were busy working on restoring some order to the inside of the shop by moving things around and using their organizational skills. It was a good day of manual work by us all!

The Writing's On The Wall

Lucy and I recently had a project at her husbands work. Our task was to give the break room a new look. Lucy had new felt put on the pool table, new upholstery put on the chairs and we even recovered the ottomans ourselves. Then we painted the logo and mission statement on the wall. We did good, if I say so myself. Looks like professionals were there.

It's hard to tell in the photo, but the wall was concrete blocks. Boy was it tough to paint. We had a transparency and a projector to give us something as a guide and we outlined the words with crayons..... then we started painting between the lines. Lisa's husband John was impressed, so were the other employees.

We donated our time to this job and the company paid for the materials. We didn't have any big Lucy/Ethel moments so, maybe..... just maybe, we can get more jobs like this done in the future. We had alot of fun! I hope the grand opening of the new building goes great. Good Luck, VEOLIA TRANSPORTATION!!!!!!!!

The Fixer Upper

Adventures in Home ProjectsYou can always find the modern day Lucy (Lisa) and Ethel (me) discussing a home project that needs attention. Usually it's a project that Lucy has started, but it has yet to make it to completion. I have often told Lucy she is the Queen of Unfinished Projects.

Our latest adventure was to paint her kitchen walls and cabinets . A little bit of history here, she has lived in this house for a little over a year and this was the third adventure this poor kitchen was about to undergo. First, we painted the walls a bright and I mean bright yellow, then she decided to give her cabinets a red glow with watered down crafter's paint... yes, crafter's paint! I had no part of that decision. I guess she didn't feel like going down to the basement and taking inventory of the 100's of half used paint cans she has stored. Hmm, that gives me an idea, (note to self... take an inventory of paint and put it on the computer) Gotta love her!

OK, here we go all dressed up in our paint clothes... Oh no, more yellow paint for the kitchen walls, at least it won't blind you this time. As we run through our usually questions to one another about who is doing what where, it occurs to us that first things first, we must go to the bathroom and empty our bladders before any improvements can be started. You see, Lucy and Ethel have fun with there projects and fun leads to laughing and well laughing can lead to wet pants. Yep, we have been known to have bladder control problems, but only when we are together.

Anyway, we got the kitchen project completed in record time and it looks wonderful. Just remember when you put the two of us together you might want to bring a change of clothes.
