Things "R" a Changing...

UPDATE 4:21pm ... Weather.com has changed their format too.... Crap!

Boy, just when you think you have everything figured out, someone goes and changes it on you.

For example...

I'm not too sure how my Mother In Law and my Sister are going to deal with Brett Farve (I truly believe they are in love with him) no longer being a Green Bay Packer but,

a New York Jet.

And for me, it's Nascar shuffling around their 2009 schedule, just when I finally got it all memorized.

Casey Mears out of the Hendrick family

and Mark Martin in... Okay y'all, I just now accepted Dale, Jr.

Tony Stewart aka "Smoke" leaving the number 20 car in the dust and trading it

in on the number 14... A new number to remember to yell at for getting too close to Jeff Gordon!

And to top it all off, I go to sign in and do this silly blog.... lo and behold they went and changed the look of the dashboard on me! What's a girl to do with all of these changes in life? One change in life should be enough.... right ladies?

Does anyone else have anything to tell me? Any more changes coming that I haven't heard about yet! I'm ready now. Lay them on me!!!!!

Daytona, Baby! ! !

For months now I have waited with great anticipation for the 50th running of the Daytona 500. I have to admit for the first time in my life, I rooted for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Don't get me wrong he's a good driver, just not my favorite driver, my driver is Jeff "Big Daddy" Gordon!

On race day here is my pecking order: I always want Jeff to win, if he can't I'll turn to Jimmie Johnson, then Casey Mears and lastly Dale Earnhardt, Jr. you see, with me it's a seniority thing.

So, today after Jeff had his problems and took that horrible left hand turn to the garage, it was all about Jimmie at that point. Well that was short lived, he got tangled up and looked like he was doing some type of figure skating dance routine, twirling and sliding around the apron with another driver. Before next Sundays race, maybe he needs to ask Helio for some "lap" dance instructions!!

So then it was up to Casey and he was looking pretty good. He had positioned himself in 5th place with under 20 laps to go and Jr. was in 8th place ready and willing to help if he could get behind Casey. At that moment I said to myself "Come on, Jr! get up there and help Casey".

I was getting pretty excited and then it happend, I had just lost my third string quarterback, Casey hit the wall and out of the blue my words turned to "Come on Jr! win this thang for your dad" Whoa, did I really just say those words out loud? Guess so, my husband was looking at me with a big grin on his face. At that moment, I became a bit defensive, "he is part of the Hendrick team, you know and ummm, since I am known to be a team player, I gotta love him too!" Enough said, please, I don't want to talk about it anymore!

By the way, congratulations to Ryan Newman and Kurt Busch for finishing first and second in the most anticipated race of the year! A big "Thank You" goes out to Kyle Busch for always being fearless and extremely entertaining. Most importantly, I want to wish my Hendrick boys good luck and I'll see you on Sunday in Fontana.

It's Almost Time To Hear...

Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!!!!

With Dale Jr now on Hendrick's team
I think I finally have a shot...
To safely wear my Gordon theme
Without the worry of being fought.

Jimmie, Jeff, Casey and Dale
I hope, this year, you all do well.
With a former rival now in place,
Which one of you will win the chase?

Boo Hoo.....

My Man, Jeff Gordon didn't win the race today at Martinsville, but he did beat Tony and Jr... way to go Jimmie Johnson finishing 1st, Kyle Busch finishing 3rd and Jeff finishing 4th. It's a Hendrick's thing y'all... and Jeff is still the points leader at this point, gotta love a leader! Sorry for you Smoke & Jr fans finishing 13th and 23rd, must have been hard, but you know it could have ended up worse, right? Shoot yes, I'm bragging'... Go Team Hendrick!!!!!!! Drive for 5 in '07 my man, Jeff!!! I'm sure I'll be rooting for Jr. next year, although I don't want to right now, I know it will happen next year. But right now, I don't have to like him, let me have my fun, kay? Woo Hoo, Jeff!

Life In The Fast Lane

For our third wedding anniversary my husband and I took an road trip to Charlotte, (Concord) North Carolina to experience an up close and personal look at Jeff Gordon!!! Opps, I mean the NASCAR Racing Industry... Our trip was fantastic to say the least and I was in heaven!

Our plan was to visit The Hendrick Museum and Lowes Motor Speedway. I have been a fan of racing for years and never in my life did I think that I would get a behind the scenes private tour of the Hendrick Race Shop and witness them working on the cars that Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were going to be driving that week-end at the Brickyard.

I will never forget how I felt when I placed my hand on Jeff Gordon's car, I'm sure you could call it an out of body experience. I heard the sound of the engine roar and felt the vibration of the car as if I was sitting next to Jeff taking a victory lap!

Cheers to my husband for the best wedding anniversary trip ever!!!!!!!
